Dear Advantage contractor, after an exciting month of football in July the 2010 FIFA World Cup finally came to an end as Andres Iniesta put Spain on top of the world after extra time against the Netherlands. That means those of you who had Spain as favourites to win the World Cup were in the lottery to win an iPhone. Lotteries were held for all of Advantage’s UK locations.
The winners were:
- Aberdeen: Ewan McAulay
- Solent: Neil Thomas
- Stockton: Brian Leeson
A coin toss between three senior staff in Aberdeen saw Jim McVean from Offshore Partner gain the right to pick out winner Ewan McAulay, a senior operations engineer on contract with Aker Subsea Ltd.
Kate Williams, HR leader in Solent selected Neil, while Brian was picked out of the hat by Fallon Faulkner in Stockton. Neil and Brian are both on site, so construction and completions director John Hornby from the P&C business area delivered the prizes to Neil Thomas and Ian Hewitt (who kindly collected on behalf of the holidaying Brian Leeson).
Congratulations to all our winners!
Sadly no-one in London successfully predicted the performance of either Spain or the Netherlands, and so no prize was awarded there.
We would like to thank all our Advantage contractors who participated in the competition and those who did not, too. We are proud to work with you.
The Advantage team
